Welcome to Loreto Grange Road

Welcome to Loreto Grange Road, Rathfarnham founded in 1823 by Mother Frances Teresa Ball. We are very proud that our Loreto School is the oldest Loreto school since the closing of the Loreto Abbey Boarding school some years ago.

Our school nestles behind the former Loreto Abbey and we are delighted that the Loreto tradition is continued in our school. Our school is a Catholic school but we also welcome and respect children of other Faiths when space permits.

Mother Frances Teresa Ball had a great devotion to Our Lady. We are therefore delighted that the statue of Our Lady that adorned the front hall of the Abbey now rests in our school. With arms outstretched our Lady continues to intercede with her Son to shower us with abundant blessings.
