On Friday February 27th, after being rescheduled twice due to weather conditions, Terenure College finally struck luck and their annual Cross Country Schools Competition took place on what turned out to be a bright and beautiful day.
Our children were delighted to take part and thanks to Ms. Ward, Trish and many other staff who supervised on the day, we sent not one but two busloads to the event!
For some of our children who are involved in athletics clubs outside school, this event was very familiar. For many however, an athletics event on this scale was a first. We were delighted with the number of children who took part from Loreto Primary School and very grateful to Terenure College for the warm welcome we received on the day.
We are looking forward to next year's competition already!
