In November, Ms. Coakley and Ms. Coyne’s Third Classes took part in the STEPS Young Engineers Project. The girls were tasked with identifying a problem in the local community and to work in teams to come up with a creative engineering solution.
The girls had great fun designing, creating and building their prototype. Oh and coming up with solutions to problems they met along the way. All part of being an engineer!
The girls also had an opportunity to present their projects to a real life engineer! We’re very grateful to Niamh and Nomusa who visited our school last week and gave such great advice and encouragement to the girls.
